You can sit there and read Japanese and German subtitles until, ten minutes in, you turn off the movie or you can do what actors have done for years when playing French farces and Russian plays on the stage - speak English without a French or Russian accent. It's a dark series about post-war America in the 1950s, where the people seem in danger, tense, and unhappy most of the time. is divided into Nazi and Japanese territory with a neutral zone. I won't go into the story except to say it is an alternate reality story where the Axis won the war and the U.S. I find this a magnificently produced series with wonderful acting, particularly from Rufus Sewell as Obergruppenfuhrer Smith whom I find amazing. I am almost through the first 10 episodes of 'The Man in the High Castle,' and I decided to review it now.
